Shepherd's Purse
Capsella bursa-pastoris was most often referred to as a weed by all of the sites I was studying with. It grows pretty much worldwide in meadow areas and on the roadside. Its leaves have deep teeth and are noted for how it resembles basal. The tender thin stalk is able to grow up to two feet in spring, and is topped with a small white flower. The flower has for petals, each being parallel to the one across from it. It reproduces by seeds. Apparently it is used to reduced fertility in China.
