Lupinus perennis


The Wild Blue lupin, Lupinus perennis, is a member of the pea family. It normally has blue to violet flowers that can sometimes be white or pink. They are on a vertical stalk with clusters of flowers on it. The leaves are long and arranged circle of 7-11 leaflets. These flowers are important to the Kamer blue but terfly which are endangered. The larvae of the butterfly only eats this kind of lupin.
