sunny and warm with few clouds no breeze
Dense forest, humid, and very buggy

Fungus:
Puffball- Calvatia fumosa
Turkey tail- Stereum ostrea

Plants:
Frog pelt- Peltigera neopolydactyla
Freckeld pelt- Peltigera aphthosa
Crowberry- Empetrum nigrum
Stif club moss- Lycopodium anotinum
Green elf cup- Chlorociboria aeruginascens
Northern black currant- Ribes hudsonianum
Low bush cranberry- Vaccinium vitis-idaea
Green alder- Alnus viridis
Fairy slipper orchid- Calypso balbosa

Populus balsamifera
Tall Jacob's ladder- Polemonium acutiflorum

Very beautiful trail, felt like I was in another world. Finding the fairy slipper made wading through the bugs worth it. I want to go back just to further explore this trail. I like the thick moss matting very soft and comfortable.
